Mortgage protection cover?

I have just received a letter fron my Mortgage protection informing me that they are raising my premium by 90% as of June. Has anyone else had this letter, Does anybody suggest alternative companies, I was using NSU. I appreciate they've been hit but they were happy to reep the good times!
