As a Christian if the Character of God we emulate is freedom visa vie the Fruit of the Spirit why......?

I am not so sure I completely understand your question, but I believe we have become "slaves to righteousness" in that our "new man" seeks to do what is right and good. Where as by our "old man" we sought the things of the flesh, and works of unrighteousness. We have undoubtably been set free from the law of sin and death, and whomever the son makes free, is "free indeed" ....from the law of sin and death.
