Is it psychologically damaging for a 7 month old child to be away from their mother for a night?

My 26 year old wife left me to move back in with her parents and wanted me to file for divorce. Against my wants for me and my unborn child I finally agreed and filed a standard joint custody divorce where after 6 months I am able to see my daughter overnight on alternating weekends. She has since got some of her dads high powered attorneys and they are contending it is unreasonable for a 6 month old to be away from their mother and primary residence overnight. I don't want to miss out on any bonding time but I don't want to scare my daughter unreasonably. I live 4 hours away and was willing to just stay at a hotel or if her parents would let me, stay at there house during the transition. Also, she is not feeding and she will be getting a lot of help from her mom because she is bipolar and barely able to care for herself. Is there any research that says it is harmful for a baby to spend the night with their father?
